911 Truth Alliance Mission Statement (draft)

9/11 Truth Alliance is a growing loose association of individual citizens, researchers and friends who wish to pose and investigate the many unanswered questions of Sept. 11th, 2001, the anthrax attacks of Oct. 2001, and the "War on Terror" in the most effective manner possible. We shall demand the disclosure of all hidden facts concerning those events, until the full, unvarnished truth of what happened on 9/11 (and leading up to that day, and as a result of that day) has been revealed and made known to the broader U.S. and world public. The people of this country and the world will then be free to act on that knowledge as a democratic body.

We do not presume to know the truth of 9/11 or the anthrax attacks in advance. We do know and can show, using verifiable facts and official statements, that the public has yet to hear that full truth. Reality has been veiled by those in power, whose duty in a democracy would have been to inform the people honestly and completely. Yet that very same power has chosen to use 9/11 as a pretext for repressive and unconstitutional policies at home and war abroad, with the people simply expected to follow obediently along. This makes democracy impossible.

Again, we are today but a loose association of concerned individuals. In an effort to get at the actual story, we are taking the first steps towards organizing a 9/11 Citizens' Truth Commission, with a democratic founding conference for that commission to be held in New York City next spring. We invite the partnership of all those who wish to contribute positively to that effort, or who otherwise want to work peacefully and meaningfully towards the ultimate goal of full 9/11 truth disclosure.
